Community Spotlight

At The Arc Marion, our mission is made stronger by community partners who not only believe in inclusion but take action to make it a reality. One shining example is Leah Almeida, owner of Farm Girl Professional Services, whose generosity has touched every part of our organization.
Leah has been a consistent supporter of The Arc Marion, always finding new ways to give back. Recently, she pledged $1,500 toward our OMCAR Field Fest fundraiser—and then doubled her gift to $3,000 during the very same call. She also donated $2,500 toward our Accessible Track Project, helping us create a safe and inclusive space where people of all abilities can enjoy fitness and recreation.
Her generosity doesn’t stop there. Leah and her business contributed all materials and labor for new landscaping at our group homes, transforming outdoor spaces into warm, welcoming places for our residents. She also proudly supported Howie’s Ride for Inclusion, a community event benefiting The Arc Marion, further proving her commitment to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live, work, and thrive.
Giving back runs in Leah’s blood. Inspired by her late father, a Belleview business owner who always cared for his community, Leah has made generosity a cornerstone of her own life and business. Through Farm Girl Professional Services, she continues his legacy—building stronger communities, one act of kindness at a time.
From all of us at The Arc Marion: Thank you, Leah, for your extraordinary generosity, your partnership, and your unwavering belief in inclusion.
